Students auditioning for New Jersey Ballet Company’s production understand they are auditioning for an opportunity to perform in a professional production for the general public. In order for NJB to continue to increase the level of the production for the public, the following is understood by both the student and the parent/guardian of the participant:

•    Dancer understands there is no guarantee she/he will be selected for some or all of the roles you plan to audition for.
•    Dancer and parents accept the role and performance dates selected and are not permitted to attempt to change or ask for reconsideration. All casting is final and at the discretion of the Directors.
NOTE: In addition to the Directors’ discretion in selecting dancers based on their technique and presentation during the auditions, height will also be a factor for each role.
•    You may attend more than one audition if you fit the specified criteria.
•    If selected for a role, the dancer understands she/he will be required to participate in all scheduled rehearsals, stage rehearsals and performances.
•    There will be two (2) casts for the performance run at MPAC in Morristown. Students are encouraged to audition for all roles they are eligible to audition for based on age and any other requirements that may be noted.
•    NJB will provide a detailed rehearsal and stage rehearsal schedule as soon as possible. Due to the various parties involved in the production, rehearsal dates and times may be changed. NJB will attempt to provide as much notice as possible.
•    It is not required to attend both audition dates. Students will be notified about casting, via email, after the second audition. We plan to begin rehearsals on Sunday, October 13 for all roles. (Time schedule to be announced).
•    All rehearsals are in Florham Park.
•    We expect performers to be on time and attend every rehearsal.
•    Performers must be available for all performances assigned. Select dancers will be asked to perform for non-MPAC dates. See performance schedule below.
•    IMPORTANT: Performers must be available for all dates and performances for the cast the performer is assigned. In order to maintain the highest quality production for the public, performers may not choose what cast/date(s) they are available to perform.
•    We must be notified of any conflicts related to mandatory school activities or religious reasons. NO OTHER EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE!
